And he said to them, “Go into all the world and proclaim the gospel to the whole creation.”
Discipleship Community Church is committed to fulfilling The Great Commission, which charges us to go into the world and to make disciples. In order to do this we must get out of the building and to the lost. We do this by sending weekly evangelism teams into the community to preach on the streets and knock on doors.
Evangelism doesn’t stop there! We want to find those in need and help wherever God has enabled us to help. There are regular opportunities to get involved in reaching the lost and telling them about the good news of salvation, such as dinners for those in need, joining the First Responders ministry, or helping at events like Proclaim! Front Royal.
But that’s just the beginning. Making disciples is about more than adding numbers to the church, more than leading someone to ask for their sins to be forgiven or to accept Jesus Christ as their Lord. Like the original 12 disciples, a true disciple will follow Christ’s teachings and imitate His example.
DCC is committed to teaching all who are drawn to our Lord all that He has revealed about Himself in the Bible, and how to follow in His footsteps.
Ready to get involved?
Here are some of the ways YOU can help!
Proclaim is an annual event to proclaim the truth of God’s Word to all of Front Royal through live music and preaching and kids’ activities.
More than just a block party, this event is designed to spread the Gospel and glorify God in every aspect.
Each year at Proclaim Front Royal, we have multiple presentations of the Gospel Message, prayer teams, as well as craft + games for children and free food for all.
We would love for you to join us next year!
If you’d like to participate in Proclaim Front Royal, just send us a message letting us know how you’d like to contribute to spreading the Good News of Jesus Christ.
Hands of Christ Ministries
Later on in the same chapter the Lord says, “if you give yourself to the hungry and satisfy the desire of the afflicted, then your light will rise in darkness and your gloom will become like midday.” (Isaiah 58:10) As children of God, we are called to help those in need; this concept is found all throughout scripture.
It is one of the many ways we show we are different as children of God and share the love that He has first shared with us. It is one way we can become a light in a dark place.
Our evangelism teams visit local neighborhoods, bringing the Good News of the Gospel door to door.
We follow Jesus’s example of sending teams of two or more, so if you are burdened to reach the lost but worried about a lack of experience, it would be our joy to train you and bring you along.
Do you have a passion for serving in a way we haven’t mentioned? We’re open to suggestions!
Whatever your gift, God intends for you to use it, and he’s called you too to make disciples. He’s designed the church as one body, with each member of that body having a different function to be used in unity with the rest of the body to glorify Him.
If you’re not sure where you fit, please contact us. We want to pray with you, get to know you, and give you the opportunity to serve God in that perfect place He has designed for you.
